The Hearing Today… (11/5/14)Posted on November 5th, 2014 3 comments
Today, The Variety Co-op presented its case regarding the legality of our retail permits. After an hour and a half of the administrative law judge hearing our case and the County’s case against us, he has decided to take an additional 2 and a half weeks to review our case and County Code to decide whether or not our retail permits are valid. Until the decision is mailed, we are allowed to keep our doors open and operate legally, as always. So… come by and show your continued support for TV Co-op! Also, don’t forget to keep your fingers crossed and send good vibes while we wait for a verdict to be reached.
We cannot thank our patients enough for sending in letters to their Supervisors over the last couple months in support of keeping The Variety Co-op open. Even though the Supervisors did not take any action as a result of receiving the letters, it was important to inform them of the desperate need for legal access in Orange County.
In addition, we would like to say congratulations to Santa Ana patients for passing measure bb! Orange County is finally making progress and other cities are sure to follow. So, kudos to Santa Ana for taking the first steps!
